1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern access to and use of www.globallei.in, mobile applications provided by Global LEI India Private Limited for facilitation of LEI registration, renewal, transfer and related support. Global LEI India Private Limited (hereafter referred to as 'Global LEI India'), with LEI code 636700QTTPH3SGQN5516, is a company incorporated under the applicable laws in India and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nordic Legal Entity Identifier AB, a GLEIF-accredited Local Operating Unit with LEI code 549300O897ZC5H7CY412.
By accessing or using our Services, the authorized representative of the Legal Entity agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement and confirms that he/she is authorized to act on behalf of the Legal Entity in question.
If the Legal Entity or its authorized representative does not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Services offered on this Platform.
2. DEFINITIONS
2.1. "GLEIF" means Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation, which oversees the LEI system worldwide.
2.2. "Legal Entity" shall mean any organization that is eligible to receive a Legal Entity Identifier under the standards of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) as per ISO 17442.
2.3. "Legal Entity Identifier or LEI" is a 20-character alphanumeric code assigned under ISO17442 standard developed by the International Organisation for Standardization which identifies parties to financial transactions worldwide.
2.4. "LE-RD" means Legal Entity Reference Data (Level 1 and Level 2).
2.5. "LOU" shall mean Local Operating Unit accredited by GLEIF to issue and manage LEIs.
2.6. "NordLEI" shall mean Nordic Legal Entity Identifier AB, a Swedish limited liability company and is an accredited LOU of GLEIF.
2.7. "Platform" shall mean and include the website www.globallei.in, mobile applications, and any other online resources or portals made available by Global LEI India through which Services are offered or used by the User.
2.8. "Services" shall mean all services offered on the Global LEI India Platform.
2.9. "User" / "Registrant" / "You" means the authorized representative of the Legal Entity applying for, renewing, or transferring an LEI on behalf of the Legal Entity.
2.10. "We/Our/Us" shall mean Global LEI India.
3. LEGAL NATURE OF SERVICES
3.1. We are an independent intermediary/facilitator providing application support and value-added services for LEI lifecycle management. We do not issue LEIs. All LEIs issued, renewed, or transferred through our Platform are processed by NordLEI in accordance with the standards and requirements of the GLEIF and are subject to NordLEI and GLEIF’s policies and approval.
3.2. You acknowledge that LEI records are public by design and may be published by GLEIF/NordLEI as part of the global LEI system.
4. ELIGIBILITY
4.1. The Services are intended for use by a Legal Entity incorporated under applicable Indian laws through a Registrant. The Registrant would be availing the Services on behalf of the Legal Entity, and the Legal Entity represents and warrants that the Registrant has authority to act on its behalf.
4.2. The Registrant must be competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
5. REGISTRATION OF ACCOUNT
5.1. The Legal Entity may be required to create an account on the Platform and provide information, including KYC documents and agree to provide accurate, complete and current information and to promptly update in case of any change.
5.2. The Legal Entity is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of its credentials used for its account with Global LEI India. The Registrant shall notify Us immediately in case of any unauthorised access or security breach of the account of the Legal Entity.
5.3. We reserve the right to decline, suspend or terminate an account at our discretion should there be any concern of misuse, risk or non-compliances.
6. SCOPE OF SERVICES
6.1. LEI Registration
We offer LEI registration for Legal Entities. The Legal Entity may choose to register for 1, 3, or 5 years. LEIs are issued by NordLEI in line with GLEIF standards. Multi-year registrations are automatically renewed annually using verified public registry data.
6.2. LEI Renewal
LEIs must be renewed annually to remain active. Users may renew for 1, 3, or 5 years. For multi-year renewals, data is automatically revalidated each year.
6.3. LEI Transfer
The Legal Entity may transfer an existing LEI to NordLEI via Global LEI India. Transfers are required before renewals if the LEI is managed by another LOU. The Legal Entity has the right to request the transfer of its LEI to another LOU (specifically designated by it) or allow another LOU to request such transfer on its behalf. In case of such transfer no fees will be assessed by Us to effectuate the transfer.
6.4. Support and Documentation
We may contact the Legal Entity for documents such as:
• Letter of Authorization (LOA)
• Registration proof
• Parent entity data
Failure to provide required documents may delay or prevent issuance.
All LEIs are published in the GLEIF Global LEI Index and cannot be deleted once issued.
7. USER RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORIZATION
7.1. The Users are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of all information and submitted data, on behalf of the Legal Entity. Any errors may delay processing. The Legal Entity agrees to promptly respond to queries and furnish additional information required by Us, NordLEI, GLEIF, or the any Government authority. Failure may lead to rejection, delay, or lapse of LEI.
7.2. The User, when acting for another legal entity, warrants to be duly authorised to represent the legal entity in all respects in relation to LEIs.
7.3. The User is responsible for the accuracy of the LE-RD and other entity data presented to Us or NordLEI. In transmitting the data, the User warrants its correctness and applicability within the scope of the LEI registration process. We reserve the right to request additional documentation or data.
7.4. The User shall provide or review the LE-RD when prompted. The User is obligated to make Us aware of any changes to a registered entity that will necessitate change to the LE-RD due to a legal entity event as defined in GLEIS, e.g. changes entity name, address and structure of the Legal Entity or parent data. This should be done on a continuous basis and in conjunction with any review of LE-RD. We or NordLEI may be required by mandatory law or per internal LOU control rules to change LE-RD.
7.5. For Multi-year products We may on a yearly basis contact the User to confirm if LE-RD is correct and still valid. If We are unable to confirm that LE-RD is updated and correct, We reserve the right to wait with renewing the LEI until such a confirmation is possible. Multi-year products are paid when ordered. There are no cancellation or refunds after the order has been placed.
7.6. The User, on behalf of itself and any legal entities which the User represents, its signing individuals, and any other persons, relating to any data becoming part of LE-RD, hereby transfer to NordLEI all rights needed for publication of the LE-RD within the GLEIS.
7.7. The LE-RD may be challenged by a third-party. In such a case, the User is obligated to immediately and without delay support and provide Us with any requested documents, data, and other actions, so that NordLEI in turn can fulfil its service level obligations towards GLEIF.
7.8. The User is aware that any information provided, and applications and requests lodged, to Us must be submitted by authorised signatories of the User and the represented legal entity, and duly dated and signed, with attestation of the authorities of the individual signing the contract on behalf of the legal entity.
7.9. The User is aware that GLEIF reserves the right to request the transfer of an LEI to another LOU.
7.10. Signature Authorization
• For registration and renewal, authorization of the User may be submitted digitally.
• For transfers, a Power of Attorney (PoA) must be downloaded, signed manually and emailed to support@globallei.org.
7.11. One LEI Per Entity
Each Legal Entity is permitted only one LEI. Duplicate applications will be rejected.
7.12. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to use the Global LEI India Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes, including but not limited to submitting false data, impersonating another entity, interfering with Platform functionality, or attempting unauthorized access to internal systems. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any such misuse.
8. VALIDATION AND DATA PUBLICATION
8.1. Data Validation Process
All LEI applications are validated by NordLEI using authoritative sources such as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and other public registries. If registry data is insufficient or unclear, the Legal Entity may be asked to provide supporting documentation, including:
• Certificate of Incorporation
• Authorized signatory documentation
• Parental or fund structure evidence
8.2. Publication of LEI Records
Once validated and issued, LEI records are published in the Global LEI Index maintained by GLEIF at www.gleif.org. The information becomes public and cannot be deleted.
8.3. Uniqueness of LEI
Each Legal Entity may hold only one LEI. Duplicate or overlapping applications will be rejected, and may be notified for clarification.
9. COMMUNICATION AND CONSENT
9.1. Notification Channels
The Legal Entity authorizes Global LEI India to contact via:
• Email – for application updates, receipts, signature requests, and LEI expiry reminders
• SMS or phone – for urgent follow-ups or document reminders
These may be sent via authorized communication Platform.
9.2. Promotional Messages
By submitting an application, the Legal Entity consents to receive occasional promotional updates about LEI renewals, pricing, and related services. It may opt out at any time via unsubscribe links in email messages.
9.3. Consent to Electronic Communication
The Legal Entity agrees to receive all legally required documents (including invoices and confirmations) electronically.
9.4. Grievance Redressal
In case of any complaints or service-related concerns, the Legal Entity may contact Us at:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days, in accordance with applicable Indian regulations.
10. PRICING AND PAYMENT TERMS
10.1. Fees and Currency
Fees for registration, renewal, and transfer are displayed on the pricing page in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of 18% GST. The Legal Entity is responsible for all taxes and government dues arising from the Services. Fees may vary based on chosen registration period.
10.2. Payment Gateway
All payments are processed through Razorpay, Our authorized payment partner. Razorpay supports:
• UPI
• Credit/debit cards
• NetBanking
• Wallets
Full payment must be completed before Global LEI India will begin processing any request. The Legal Entity authorizes Us and our payment partner to process the payment in accordance with applicable Indian laws and regulations.
10.3. Invoicing and Receipts
Receipts and invoices are sent electronically to the contact email provided in the application.
10.4. Refunds and Non-Completion
Refunds are handled under Section 11. If the Legal Entity fails to provide required documents within a reasonable timeframe, the application may be cancelled.
10.5. Price Revisions
Global LEI India reserves the right to periodically change prices. The rate shown at the time of confirmed order applies.
11. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
11.1. General Policy
Refunds are only permitted when:
• Duplicate or mistaken payments are made
• The application is cancelled before the Letter of Authorization is submitted
• Payment was made but processing never started
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of payment to support@globallei.in, including reference ID and name of the Legal Entity.
11.2. Administrative Fee
All approved refunds are subject to a ₹2,699 administrative fee, which will be deducted from the refund.
11.3. Transfers and Missing Documents
If a manual signed Power of Attorney is not submitted for a transfer, and NordLEI has not begun processing, a partial refund may be issued (minus the fee).
Failure to provide required documents within 30 calendar days may lead to cancellation without refund.
11.4. No Refund Will Be issued If:
• An LEI has already been issued or renewed
• The transfer has been completed
• A multi-year plan is unused by the customer
• The Legal Entity fails to respond to document requests
• The Legal Entity provides false or misleading information
• The refund request is made after 7 days
11.5. Refund Processing
Refunds are processed via Razorpay to the original payment method, usually within 7 business days.
12. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
12.1 Data Protection
The Legal Entity acknowledges and consents to the collection, use, sharing, retention and processing of personal data of the User and information of the Legal Entity for providing Services and for legal and regulatory purposes. We process data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws as applicable in India including Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy.
12.2 Necessary Consent
The Legal Entity represents that all necessary consent has been obtained from the individuals/User whose personal data is being submitted for processing of the application for LEI.
12.3 Engagement of Third Party Service Providers
In order to provide with the best possible user experience and a high quality of services, Global LEI India may in certain cases engage third-party service providers in the provision of its Services. This includes verification of data provided by or about a customer using automated tools, including AI-based solutions, web hosting, communication services, payment and other functions that are inextricably linked to the provision of Global LEI India’s Services.
12.4 Privacy and Security
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security. All third-party service providers are rigorously screened and bound by confidentiality agreements and privacy policies that are consistent with Our corporate standards and legal requirements.
12.5 Consent
By using Global LEI’s services, Legal Entity agrees to the transfer of data to our third-party service providers for the purposes and in the manner described above under the applicable data protection and privacy laws.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
13.1. Use at Your Own Risk
The Legal Entity acknowledges that all Services provided by Global LEI India is used at its own risk. While We strive to ensure accurate and timely service, no guarantees are made regarding:
• Immediate LEI issuance or renewal
• Completion timelines without additional documentation
• Continuous availability of GLEIF systems or public registries
13.2. No Liability for Indirect Damages
Global LEI India, NordLEI, and their affiliates will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:
• Loss of business, profits, or regulatory access
• Delays in LEI issuance due to registry or LOU response times
• Reputational damage or loss due to outdated or lapsed LEIs
• Force Majeure Events
13.3. Liability Cap
Our maximum liability under this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the amount paid by the User for the specific LEI transaction in question.
13.4. External Dependencies
We are not liable for service failures caused by:
• GLEIF decisions or data challenges
• Public registry inaccessibility or delays
• Razorpay, telecom networks, or internet disruptions
13.5 Force Majeure
Global LEI India shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performing its obligations under this Agreement due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemic, pandemic, acts of government, war, civil unrest, power outages, internet disruptions, or failures of public infrastructure or third-party providers (including Razorpay and GLEIF systems).
14. PUBLIC DATA AND DISCLOSURE
14.1. Publication of LEI Records
All LEIs and associated Legal Entity Reference Data (LE-RD) are publicly available through the Global LEI Index maintained by GLEIF at www.gleif.org. These records cannot be deleted once issued.
14.2. User Consent
By applying for an LEI, the User consents to publication of:
• Legal entity name, address, and company identifier
• Parent company and relationship data (if applicable)
14.3. Data Quality and Challenges
Any LEI record may be challenged by the public via GLEIF’s challenge portal. If a LEI of a Legal Entity is challenged, Global LEI India and NordLEI will contact the Legal Entity to validate or correct the data.
15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
15.1. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India.
15.2. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, both parties will attempt resolution through written communication. Unresolved matters shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

• Seat of Arbitration: Mumbai, Maharashtra
• Arbitrator’s decision: Final and binding
Either party may seek interim or injunctive relief from courts of competent jurisdiction.
16. COMPLIANCE OF LAWS
16.1. The Legal Entity agrees to comply with applicable laws, including but not limited to the Companies Act, 2013, RBI Directions relating to LEI given from time to time, privacy laws, and any GLEIF policy requirements.
16.2. The Legal Entity confirms that neither the User nor the Legal Entity is subject to sanctions or restrictions that would prohibit use of the Services or issuance/renewal of an LEI.
17. REPRESENTATION AND WARRANTIES
The Legal Entity represents and warrants that (a) the User has full capacity, power and authority to execute and perform the obligations under this Agreement on its behalf (b) all information provided are true and correct.
The Services are provided by Us on an ’as is’ basis. We do not warrant timelines or that the Services would be uninterrupted or error free.
18. TERM AND TERMINATION
The agreement governed by these Terms and Conditions shall remain in effect until either Legal Entity or NordLEI is dissolved or otherwise ceases to operate (either completely or, in NordLEI’s case, as an LOU).
Notice of termination shall be submitted in writing by the terminating party and shall be effective upon receipt by the non-terminating party.
Subject to notice of termination submitted by either party, termination shall be possible in the event of a transfer of the LEI (of the User, or the legal entity represented by the User) to a different LOU or to GLEIF. The termination shall take effect on the date of completed transfer and be limited to agreement regarding the specific transferred LEI.
Subject to notice of termination submitted by Us, termination with immediate effect is possible in the event of, (i) the Legal Entity abandoning its status as legal entity with an LEI, or (ii) an annulment of the LEI due to non-compliance of the Legal Entity with requirements in the course of renewal issuance.
Subject to notice of termination submitted by either party, termination with immediate effect is possible in the event of (i) severe or repeated violation of contractual duties, for which no cure is possible, or cure has been refused despite a reasonable cure period, or (ii) if the Master Agreement of NordLEI with GLEIF is terminated (without any liability of NordLEI for any damages caused by such termination).
MISCELLANEOUS AND COMPANY INFORMATION
15.1. Availability of Services
We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation and is subject suspension or restriction of access for maintenance, upgrades, security, or legal reasons.
15.2 Formal notices
Any notices under these Terms and Conditions shall be made in English.
15.3. Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted at www.globallei.in. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated version.
15.4. Privacy Policy
Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
